The Aerotest Environmentally Protective Transport & Storage Bag (EPTS) “Aero-Propeller Bag” has been designed developed and supplied to enable various Propeller Assemblies to be stored and protected whilst mounted onto transport and storage trolleys during transportation by road and air.
The design of the bag elements encloses and protects each propeller blade, the central hub section and the underside of the propeller from UV rays, direct moisture, dust ingestion and impact, in an external ambient environment.
Each EPTS “Aero-Propeller Bag” is supplied within a lightweight fabric transport bag together with sealed installation instructions.
Each EPTS “Aero-Propeller Bag” consists of the following components:
- A common padded protective bag sleeve with an impact protection system for the leading and trailing edges for the propeller blade, which is closed and sealed, by a heavy-duty Nylon zip and slide.
- An external visibility strap on its tip for safety indication
- An A4 clear documentation pocket for holding the individual propeller logbook and paperwork and serial numbering identification.
- A protective cover for the central hub which when fitted fits over the central hub with individual sections fitting between each propeller blade and held in position with a closure point at the rear of the propeller spinner using a polypropylene rear hub closure disc.
The EPTS “Aero-Propeller Bag” is constructed from polyester supported Plasticised Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) material which is very strong and durable, providing excellent protection against ester based fluids, aviation fuels and hydraulic oils. The material has a rated temperature envelope of -30°C to +70ºC (-22ºF to 158ºF).
All "Aero-Bags" are available in various colours and individually serial numbered for customer identification and traceability.
